Update on Yulia
Just jumping on here to give a quick update. We are overwhelmed by the encouragement and support from so many people. Thank you. It is definitely boosting us.
We have not heard from a medical center yet but many people have given us leads to Miami Transplant Institute, Medical City in Dallas-Fort Worth, Baylor, and UAB. We will be reaching out to these facilities on Monday. Many other families have come forward in the same situation. I have tried to answer all of those emails. If you know anyone in this situation, please pass this information on.
If you are calling centers for us, thank you. Please just make sure you say, "Can someone receive a transplant without the covid vaccination." If you called Duke today, they would say it is not required, but reccomended. However, they rejected us because we did not follow their recomendation.
We have also had an overwhelming response of people willing to be tested as potential donors. I have tried to personally reply to each email. We are hoping to have the medical center confirmed in the coming week so that we can send potential donors there to start the process.
Some people have reached out and want call Duke. By all means, you are free to express your opinion to them, but we ask you to remain civil with no foul language or death threats.
Thank you again, Chrissy

Hi, please look into St Louis Childrens Hospital!!!
You need to contact Cindy Stone at Vidant Hospital in Greenville NC. They do not require vaccine. They are wonderful.
I don't think you're horrible, selfish, and a child abuser for you're choices... I have a heart condition and I did not get the vaccine either.... I am praying for your daughter, and for you to find what is needed for her to grow happy and healthy. Keep reaching out someone knows something. For not making the choice to get vaccinated because of this if we don't stand on what we believe what do we have. And she is 14 and not involved with all the stuff in the world around her to make that decision, so you're making it for her that's what parents do!! Good luck in your future, and all my prayers are with you.
This is not some big new piece of news. A sick loved one can be very overwelming and things can be misunderstood on the family side. I helped my sons friend and his mother through his kidney transplant a little over a year ago. From all the research I have done and all the preappointments, if the person does not have all vaccines no organ transplant will be completed. There is good reason for this. This is not just a covid vax thing. My son's friend's transplant was postponed two months because he never received his chicken pox vaccine. Guess what, he got it and then proceeded to have the transplant. Even someone that is not a transplant surgeon etc…
